Job Title: Cloud and Observability Engineer

Location: Gurugram, Haryana, India

Role and Responsibilities

As a Cloud and Observability Engineer at Coralogix, you will be pivotal in enhancing customers’ monitoring and observability infrastructure. Your role will involve:

Extension Delivery:

• Building and enhancing quality extension packages for alerts, dashboards, and parsing rules in the Coralogix Platform to improve monitoring experiences.
• Conducting research to develop world-class extensions, including those for container technology and cloud services.
• Configuring parsing rules in Coralogix using regex to structure data as needed.
• Building packages according to Coralogix methodologies and automating ongoing processes using scripting.
• Supporting internal stakeholders and customers with queries, issues, and feedback regarding deployed extensions.

Migration Delivery:

• Assisting in migrating customer alerts, dashboards, and parsing rules from competitive observability and security platforms to Coralogix.

Knowledge Management:

• Building, maintaining, and evolving documentation related to all aspects of extensions and migration.
• Conducting training sessions for internal stakeholders and customers on platform functionality (alerts, dashboards, parsing, querying), migration processes, techniques, and extension content.
• Collaborating closely with internal stakeholders and customers to understand specific monitoring needs, gather requirements, and ensure alignment during the extension-building process.

Qualifications

Professional Experience:

• Minimum of 3+ years of experience as a Systems Engineer, DevOps Engineer, or similar roles, focusing on monitoring, alerting, and observability solutions.

Cloud Technology Experience:

• 2+ years of hands-on experience with and understanding of Cloud and Container technologies (GCP/Azure/AWS + K8/EKS/GKE/AKS). Cloud Service Provider DevOps certifications are a plus.

Observability Expertise:

• Good knowledge and hands-on experience with 2 or more Observability platforms, including alert creation, dashboard creation, and infrastructure monitoring. Keeping up with the latest industry trends is essential.

Deployments & Automation:

• Good understanding of CI/CD with at least one deployment and version control tool. Engineers will need to package alerts and dashboards as extension packs continuously.

Grafana & PromQL Proficiency:

• Basic understanding and practical experience with PromQL, Prometheus’s query language, for querying metrics and creating custom dashboards. Familiarity with Dataprime and Lucene syntax is beneficial and will be learned on the job.

Troubleshooting Skills:

• Excellent problem-solving and debugging skills to diagnose issues, identify root causes, and propose effective solutions.

Communication Skills:

• Strong verbal and written communication skills in English to collaborate with the customer’s cross-functional teams, deliver training sessions, and create clear technical documentation.

Analytical Thinking:

• Ability to analyze complex systems, identify inefficiencies or gaps, and propose optimized monitoring solutions.

Availability:

• Ability to work across US and European timezones. This is a work-from-office role.
